Storm Warning!

Pat, my wife and the Assistant Crew Chief, was hesitant to drive Storm Warning before the carbs were dialed-in by C&J Engineering in Whittier CA. She said just riding as a passenger was "terrifying" (her words) and no way would she drive it. I didn't blame her since I was leaving red lights at 3000 RPM then going 20 MPH - ugh! But C&J fixed the carb and distributor problems and "Stormy" was now running sweet!
I had noticed the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa (where Barrett-Jackson just held their auction) had a huge empty parking lot and and I thought it might be a great place for Pat to get her AWB Pilot's license. So off we went on Monday June 14th and guess what - Pat did GREAT!
She didn't stall Stormy at all, and started to gas it toward the end! That was right before Security came and booted us out! They were nice but said it was a liability issue for the Fairgrounds. But they said they let us go longer than everyone else - "Cool car"!
So now it's my turn to get a grip in the passenger seat, and I don't like it over here at all!
