Storm Warning!

Where has the year gone? It's already September 2010, and it feels like Summer passed us by! I guess time does fly when you're having fun!
Well, in this Chapter we have another item we need to add to Storm Warning before we punch the pedal to the floor - a pinion snubber! If you've been following our build, you know we had a 3 inch "discrepancy" in the rear half relative to the axle location and the body housing. Recall that we moved the rear body section forward 12 inches, but we could only move the rear axle forward 9 inches. Why? Well, we used to run a 24 inch tire when Stormy was a normal Nova, but now with this 10:00-15 Firestone "Dragster" tire, it measures 30 inches tall - there's the 3 inch difference we needed to center the big tire. Sooooo, the stock Nova pinion snubber mounting is too far forward by 3 inches! What do we do? We make "The Mother of All Pinion Snubbers", and it works! Then we go to two huge SoCal Car Shows - Belmont Shores on September 12th and Cruisin For A Cure September 25th. Follow along..................!
